Parking information for GS10 Map for parking

Parking: Very Important

Parking maps have been made available to you via email, Facebook, and our website. Those of you running ONLY the 5K should park in lots F, G, along Mettlers Road. Everyone else should park in Lots C, D, E, J (Central Jersey Prep School), and in the soccer lot at the East end of the park.

To be sure, if you’re only in the 5k, do not park inside Colonial Park, as you won’t be able to leave until the 10 Miler is over. You want to park outside the park

Please arrive at least 90 minutes before your race. Several roads will close 15 minutes prior to the start of the 5K at 8:45am and will remain closed throughout the event. The Elizabeth Ave entrance will close once the 5K starts. After this time, parking access will be available only through Mettlers Road from Amwell Road.

Switch/Transfer Registration

If you want to switch races or transfer your registration to another runner, you will need to either email us ASAP or both appear at packet pickup on Friday and Saturday only. No transfers on the day of the race.

Youth Mile

The youth one-mile fun run will begin at 11:00 am at the finish line. Kids will run a half mile out and back, finishing at the common finish line. All youth mile participants will earn a medal!

All 10 mile finishers will receive their medals upon finishing the race. For those completing the Half Marathon Challenge, please come to the awards table anytime thirty minutes after your race. Finally, to ensure a safe experience for all, we will not host an awards ceremony. Please pick up your AG medal anytime thirty minutes after your 5k and/or 10 mile at the awards table.

Reminder: Half Marathon Challenge

If you are running the Half Marathon Challenge, remember, it is not a traditional half marathon. You will be running both the 5K and 10 Mile races and need to line up for the start of both. In order to collect that awesome finisher medal, you must finish both races. To collect your Half Marathon Challenge medal, visit the information table once the times have been posted and verified. After you finish the 5K, make your way back to the starting line. The start line will remain open until 9:35 am.

Minimum Pace

You must be able to maintain at least a 13:30 pace for the 10-mile race. If you reach the park entrance at mile 3.5 beyond the 50-minute mark, you will be directed into the park to finish the 10 miles within the park boundaries. You will run between the blue cones 6 times to complete the full 10 miles.

Water Stations

Water stations will be located at the 5K, 4.5, 10K, 7.75 & 9 for the 10 miler and at mile 2 for the 5K. Clocks will be out on the course at the 5k and 10K marks.

Relay Runners

Your transfer station will be at mile 4. Mile 4 is just north of the starting line so you can watch your partner start the race then just head up the road to the transfer station. You will need to pick up your baton at the information table race morning. The baton has your timing chip.

Remember that all race proceeds go to the Cancer Call Out, a 501c3 charity that supports military/fire/police families afflicted with life-threatening illnesses. This explains the race presence of so many volunteer Somerset County SWAT members out on the course cheering you on and helping you park!

What are the COVID protocols

The GS10 will follow any State or local government mandated protocols at the time of the race. At this time, none are in effect. Please wear a mask if you wish to do so, but it is not required. If you are sick, feel sick, or think you are sick, we urge you to stay home. Vaccination is encouraged, but also not required to attend the outdoor road race.
