Master Achievements

Over the years, our masters men and masters women have achieved some impressed team accomplishments.  Here is a list of some of them!

December 2014:  The masters 40’s women finished 4th at USATF National Club Cross Country Championships in Bethlehem, PA.  With a scoring top three spread out by just forty-three seconds, the group scored 48 points–just two points shy of Atlanta Track Club’s third place finish.  The group consisted of Michelle Brangan (13th/23:15), Henrietta Trachsel (15th/23:24), Martha Grinnell (20th/23:57), Lisa Rumer (49th/25:31), and Sandi Kaspszyk (69th/26:52)

December 2014: The men’s 40’s team, making their first appearance at club nationals, finished 15th in a very competitive field in Bethlehem, PA.  Scoring 460 points and averaging 36:31 for their top five, they finished second of all tri-state area clubs.  The scoring top five included Chris Sallade (34:42), Daniel Shea (35:44), Hernan Rozemburg (37:04), Justin Feil (37:25), and Joe Pawlish (37:39).  John Montgomery (37:45), Nick VanLangen (38:40), Andrew Tschesnok (38:53), and Wesley Cole (41:04) rounded out the team’s finishers.

In 2015, the masters women finished 2nd overall in the USATF-NJ Grand Prix.  A year-long contest involving nine team races, the ladies had some clutch performances in the fall to secure the silver medal team finish.

Like the women, the 40s men finished 2nd overall in the USATF-NJ Grand Prix in 2015.  Their first podium finish in club history was an impressive one, as the masters scene in NJ is very competitive.

After scoring their first 40s team at club nationals in 2014, they scored their first 50s team in San Francisco the next year.
